Stupid Truck

I love haveing two vehicles but I really wish we could have a least two of them working at the same time.

We got my dads truck when he bought a new one which was awesome and we were so glad to have two vehicles. Almost immedietly after we moved here the alternator died. It took us quite awhile to get it fixed.

As soon as we got the truck fixed the transmission on the van started getting really bad. So we only drove the van if we had to and drove the truck everywhere. When we finally got the van into the shop it took almost 3 weeks to get it back. We were very lucky to have the truck then.

Unfortunetly the trucks registration expired and we didn't have the cash to get it registered so we just drove the van. We spent a good part of the summer in Utah so not having the truck registered wasn't a big deal.

The van needed to get the registration renewed before the end of the month so I decided it was about time to get the truck registered too. That way when Dave starts school next week we'll have both vehicles again. So I spent all day getting it registered. It was really confusing because it was out of state and it was my dads name on the title but after a trip to a dealership and two trips to the dmv I finally did it.

Yeah! Wrong! I walked out to the truck from the DMV and the stupid thing won't start. WHAT THE! Dave came down and tryed to jump it. He then put in the battery we had bought when we got the alternator done (the guys at the shop said it needed to be replaced and yet it kept on working even after we bought a new one). After all of that Dave and I both decided it wasn't the battery but the starter. We were planning on going camping tomorrow but that doesn't seem possible now. Oh well. Although the truck is stuck down town and we are now back to one vehicle it doesn't seem too bad since that is at least what we are used to. I just hope the van doesn't break down until we can at least get the truck fixed.

Isn't that so typical! Life just wasn't meant to go smoothly, I guess. I hope it turns out to be something not too serious that you can fix without spending an arm and a leg! Good luck! (Stupid truck!!)
