Happy 10th Birthday Isaac!!!

Happy 10th Birthday Isaac Wow, I can't believe my Ike is 10 years old today.  It seems like yesterday I was rushing to the hospital to have him a month early. He was a tiny 5 lb 13 oz but he was healthy and strong.

Isaac is such a great kid. He loves to tease and has such a great sense of humor. His teachers at school love him because he is so respectful and kind to everyone. He is also such a morning person waking up at the crack of dawn every morning. We love you Isaac.

Here is a list of things Isaac liked in the past year.
  1. His first pine wood derby.
  2. His first science fair and getting 2nd place in his grade.
  3. Spending a month in Utah with his grandparents.
  4. Camping with his family.
  5. Jumping off a low cliff in Capitol Reef national park.
  6. Sleeping outside in a tree house.
  7. Having his picture in the newspaper.
  8. Building a snow cave.

Happy 8th Birthday Joe

Today is Joe's 8th Birthday. Wow, what a crazy year it's been. I can't believe my Joe is finally 8.  Joe is a delight to have and everyone who meets him is changed because of it. He is so kind and loving, even if he is a bit straight forward sometimes. We had some friends over during the summer and at one point he said, "When are you going to leave". My friend asked if he wanted them to leave and he said, "No, I was just wondering".  It made us both laugh.  I love you Joe! HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Here is a list of some of Joe's favorite things from this year.
  1. Getting Sonic and the Secret Rings for his 7th birthday.
  2. Getting new legos.
  3. Going to Grandma and Grandpa's for the summer.
  4. Learning about the Native Americans.
  5. The Seven Wonders of Joe.
  6. Taking pictures with Mom's camera.
  7. Being Sonic for Halloween.
  8. ...and Going camping with my family.

Here are a few pictures from throughout this year.

Finally I have this great video that we shot of Joe the other day.  I heard him crying in the other room about how he wished there was such thing as time travel and I had to get it on video. Enjoy! CLICK HERE

Catch Up

I wanted to get caught up on our blogs. Sorry if it's a bit of an overload but it makes me feel better when it's done. Enjoy

January

We got back from Utah and spent the next couple of weeks recovering. Dave ended up with a terrible tooth ache that needed surgery and I ended up just getting plain old sick.

Dave turned 33 on the 19th of January. We had a great day even though it was fairly simple. His friends up at work baked cup cakes for him and a couple other guys who had their birthday the same week. I know you probably can't tell but they did all kind of geeky/sci-ency/nerdy stuff on the cupcakes.
Our Anniversary is also in January on the 29th and we ended up spending that with our kids. We went out to eat at a local buffet place (our kids favorite) and talked about how our family began. It was really a nice night.

The following day on the 30th the older kids had a school musical review. They called it "The Madrigal performance". Lily had learned a guitar part and Isaac's class sang this silly song about a cow and pig dancing. They seemed to have a great time and hopefully the school raised a lot of money for the music program. Lily is coming along really well on the guitar and both of them are great singers. I also got a chance to talk with many of the other parents and everyone had nothing but praise for our kids. I love our school because our kids aren't misfits they're stars.

Here is a link to a video of Lily playing the guitar. CLICK HERE It's pretty funny because most of the kids have absolutely no idea what they're doing. Lily's only been playing guitar for a couple of weeks. She has a natural ability for just about everything. Here is a link to Isaac's performance CLICK HERE
