Missionaries

Life is getting back to normal. I am pretty much cleaning every day to catch up from being sick for so long. We had the missionaries over for dinner on Monday. That was a blast. After dinner Lily got some paper and made invitations for them to have a head standing contest. One of the missionaries actually did it. She then made awards and handed them out to everyone. She wanted to leave in the middle of dinner to make menus for everyone but Dave and I wouldn't let her. I know we are so mean.

I'm doing better. Well, at least I'm not dieing anymore. No one else got sick so that is good.

Still Dieing.
Well, I am on my third day of being deathly ill. No one else is sick and I haven't been around anyone sick, so I have no idea where I got it. I have considered the idea of West Nile but I have a Behcet's flare on top of it so I don't know which is which. All I know is that if I don't start feeling better soon I will consider death an acceptable alternative.

Painting

We finally got back to Colorado and life has calmed down a lot. Dave has been working a lot and I have been really sick, so life has been pretty boring. Yesterday we stained the playground but we still have quite a bit to do before it is done. It sure looks cool though. It really was a team effort. The whole family got involved and got very painted. It took me an hour to scrub all the paint off my legs.

The beach and the Italian Ruins

So, the conference took all the people on a day trip to all the local sights. They went to the beach and then on to the local Greek Ruins. A greek temple and an ampitheatre. I know everyone is probably getting bored of the pictures but I love them so too bad.
D
Dave had a great time at the beach. He is on the very right side, 2nd to the end.
Wow, Greek temples are so cool. I don't have any more info then that. I plan to bug Dave when he gets home to give me all the history of the greek ruins.

More Pics of Italy

Dave sent me some more pictures of Italy. He went to the Ruins today and hasn't sent me those yet but I can't wait to see them and you know I will post them as soon as he get them. I hope you don't get sick of the photos because I love them.
This is Trapani, the town directly below Erice at night.
This is the futbol field right by the monestary.

Of course Dave would find a tennis court but this one is clay which made him super excited. I don't know if you can tell but the next is just plastic tape (like you would put up around a crime scene) strung across the court. I think it is pretty creative. This is Dave's room in the Monastary he is staying in. I love the exposed rock walls.

This is the view from the court yard in the monastary. I am going to bug him and make sure he gets a picture of the actual courtyard.
This is the lecture hall they meet in. He says it is really cool inside but the seats are so bad they gave him a kink in his neck.
This is the Piaza in the center of Erice.
I love these stairs. He says that most of the streets are about this wide.

I hope you liked your tour of Erice. Next time he goes he is going to take me with him even if it is in his suitcase.

Arriving in Italy

Dave sent me some pictures of his arrival to Italy. He still doesn't get home for another week but I wanted to show everyone what it looks like there. He did know what island this was but he saw it as he was getting close to landing in Rome,
This is landing in Rome. I love the trees they are really cool.
This is on his way from Palermo to Erice.
Dave was trying to take a picture of the mountain and got this sign. He thought it was so funny that he decided to keep the picture and send it to me.
This was a potato bug that was in Dave's room. The kids are really into potato bugs, especially Clara and thought she would get a kick out of seeing this one.l

Grandma Winnie's

While Dave went to Italy I stayed with my parents in Stansbury Park. While we were in Utah we wanted to go up and visit Dave's Mom and Dad in Logan.

We went to Logan on the 5th of July. The kids and I had so much fun. I ended up really sick and had to go back to my parents early so I could get some medicine but I am hoping when Dave gets back from Italy we can stop there on our way back to Colorado.

The boys got really cold, so they thought they would lay directly on the sidewalk to get warm. Isaac burnt his back from it but had so much fun with his cousins that he didn't complain at all.
Joe, Mia and Annika loved jumping on the Trampoline with the sprinkler underneath.
