Visit from Mom & Jan

My Mom and sister-in-law Jan came to visit me this last week. We have had so much fun. I wish they could stay longer but they need to get back to Utah. This is a bit picture heavy but we had so much fun I wanted to share everything.

Denver Zoo

They arrived on Tuesday afternoon so we didn't do much on that day. On Wednesday we went to the Denver Zoo. Dave took the day off and we spent the day bumming around with the animals. I will admit, I got really sick but we still had fun even though I was a bit out of it. When we got home we played some card games and Isaac pushed the little girls on the swings in the back yard.

Lee Martinez Farm

On Thursday the kids had their last day at Riffenburgh (there home school activities at public school). So we took the opportunity to do something that the little kids would like. The city has a public farm you can go visit. It is has a museum and little store. The kids loved seeing the animals. It was small so we didn't spend to much time there which was good because they were starting to get cranky and hungry by the time we left.

Fish & Chips

My Mom promised to get us Fish & Chips when she came to visit. We went for lunch after the farm because it is much less busy and because the other kids don't care for it as much as I do. I am mostly putting this in so my brother and Dave's sister will come and visit so they can get authentic Fish & Chips.

Park

The last day (Friday) we decided to go to the park and play in the water. Spring Canyon park is a newer park here in Fort Collins but it has a water area a lot like liberty park. It also has an awesome playground area. We spent a couple of lazy hours sitting on a park bench watching the kids play. It was so much fun. We then came back and had popsicles and Dave cooked up some food on the grill. It was the perfect ending to a awesome visit. Thanks for coming Mom and Jan - We Love You!

Planet Frog

For one of our homeschool projects we decided to watch the life cycle of an animal. I was planning on getting butterflies but when I went to the store I fell in love with the Planet Frog set. They shipped our tadpoles in the mail and they arrived last Saturday. They are awesome but no legs yet. We will be updating this to let you see how they are doing. The bigger one we named Oddball and the smaller one is George or Georgina depending on who you talk to.

Naomi

My sister wrote a book and asked me to take pictures of Lily dressed as the heroine, Naomi.
I thought I would post some of my favorites on here for all to see.

Throwback!!!!!!

Why didn't they think of this a long time ago.

Pepsi came up with the idea of the throwback. It's Pepsi made with sugar instead or corn syrup. Dave got me some today and it is awesome. I have to admit it did take me a while to get use to. It doesn't taste the same but I highly recommend trying it. I don't know if other companies have tried this but I sure hope they do.

Clara's Preschool Graduation

Well, 8 months ago I posted pictures of Clara's first day at preschool and today was her last.

Two more days until Dave is done with finals. I hope I can make it.

Math?

So your mother says, "We have to do math before we go to the park". What do you do? It's a beautiful day, you really don't won't to be stuck inside, and the backyard doesn't really have anywhere to sit and do math. You sit on the roof of the playhouse of course.
