February had a lot going on with our family. We had 2 birthdays and a lot of craziness with school. Joe and Isaac both had their birthdays. Joe turned 8 on the 5th and Isaac turned 10 on the 14th.
Dave also had a catastrophe at school and spent about a week of 16 hour days up at school trying to recover data on some computers. He's still working it out which is frustrating because he's not getting a lot of research done.
Joe had a friend from school come over on the day of his birthday with her brothers and sisters. It was fun to have other kids their to sing happy birthday to Joe. The following Monday he brought cupcakes and got a great hat from all his classmates. It was so cute.
We watched the super bowl as a family. I brought down some snacks and noticed Lily had drawn all over herself. I laughed so hard and had to take a picture to show her kids some day. "See, Mom did stupid things even when she was 11".
Joe's magnificent hat. All his classmates wrote words that described him on it. It was awesome.
Lily and her friend stayed up all night. They were so tired the next day and were falling asleep everywhere.
On Isaac's birthday we had to think a little differently. Since it's valentines day we didn't want to sugar them up before party, we also have to worry about any peanuts in his class. So we we made little baggies with pencils and stuff to give to everyone instead of cupcakes, it turned out really well. He had two sleep overs the following weekend. He had two of his friends over on different nights and he had a great time.
I also have to mention that we went to dinner (which was crazy on valentines day) and Isaac insisted that we stop and buy me flowers. I love that he always gets me flowers on his birthday. He says it's to say thank you for what I did on his birth day.
Paragon Night.
Joe's Paragon night was about Japan. They dressed up like samurai and did a wonderful production for us.
Clara's class taught us about India. They did a cute little play about an evil king who tried to kill his good son but failed....and guess who the evil king was - Clara! She was so evil looking she even scared me. (Well, she often scares me but that's because she has a bit of a temper).
Isaac's class is learning about Colorado this year. They also put on a little production complete with commercials. Isaac's was very funny and even though he didn't have a lot of lines I learned afterward that most of the jokes were written by him.
Lily's class did a condensed version of a book they were reading about the Maya's. She was the main character and did such a good job.
Joe's always building crazy things and this is his Lego Dreamcast. The controller had triggers, a clot for a memory card, colored directional buttons. It looked so good. I love that he designs these things and his creations are getting more and more detailed.

Wow! You weren't kidding - super-busy! We have 3 birthdays within 3 months & I thought that was crazy. Fun school things, too!!
Thanks for your sweet comment on my blog. I think I'm going to try & do the same thing & purposefully leave my home & kids in disarray!
OK - sorry. This is Heidi. And I was logged in as Cindy!
See - I'm trying not to be perfect already! :)
Thanks for updating your blog. I love to learn what your family is doing. It looks like Paragon night was a smash, as usual. However, I looked at the picture of Clara's class and she didn't look very evil to me. She was smiling too much.
The kids are wonderful, as always - Good job to Lily, Isaac, Joe and Clara! (And Mom and Dad, too - I'm sure you had something to do with it. I love you all!!
Looks like you had a great February. It's good to see what you've been doing. Great job with the Paragon night. It looks like a lot of fun. I'm sure my grandkids are the most talented in their classes! :) Hope Dave has the computers all fixed.
