I'm going to be posted all the pictures from my sisters trip the next couple days. We had so much fun and I wanted to show our family all the pictures that I decided to split them up. I thought we'd start with Thanksgiving since that's what we did first.
For those of you who don't know, my sister and I married brothers. They are the coolest people and we love having them around. She and her husband decided to visit us for Thanksgiving and we made almost everything from scratch. It was AWESOME!
Dave, Kevin, Becka & Candie Thomas
We made Turkey, rolls, gravy, deviled eggs, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole and stuffing. It was probably the most homemade thanksgiving dinner I've had since I was little.
This is all our kids waiting for dinner to start.
Candie made these rolls and they were delicious. Don't let her fool you by saying she doesn't know how to make something. She made almost everything and it was all perfect.
Candie making the rolls
We made 5 pies. Two pumpkin, a cherry an apple and Dave made a banana cream . I thought we'd have tons left over but they ate it all.
All the kids made placemats and talked about what they were thankful for. I made a turkey headdress that you had to wear if you said the word "turkey". And to pay homege to a very memorable Thanksgiving Dave had with his sister Lisa, we placed an unopened can of cranberry sauce in the middle of the table. We called her Old'Cranny and figure we'll invite her to Thanksgiving every year, as long as the kids don't open and eat her first.
Hey Becka! Duh - did I know you had a family blog?? Well, guess I do now. It's way cute. Looks like an awesome thanksgiving. Those rolls make my mouth water!
Those rolls do look way good. I knew about Candie's cheese soup and carmel popcorn making skills but not about her roll making skills. Glad you guys had so much fun together!
