We finally got our Christmas tree up on Friday. Dave took the evening off to be included. It snowed all day and it seemed like the perfect day to sit and drink hot chocolate and sing carols. It was so much fun.

This is our finished tree. As usual the kids put on their favorites and then I ended up finishing it up while they goofed off. I didn't mind since they were being so funny.

Clara took the storm trooper ornament and a bicycle ornament and combined them.

All the kids but Joe jumped in and started working right away. It took awhile to convince Joe that it was suppose to be fun.

Clara putting an ornament on the tree

Once I started handing Joe ornaments that belonged to him, he got into the mood.

Joe took every ornament and put them on one branch. There actually were quite a few more but they fell off.

Your tree looks great. Josh and I still don't have ours up yet. But I do have my Christmas quilt finished (you can tell where my priorities are). Typical Joe to think decorating the tree isn't fun.
We had so much fun with you the other day. Josh and I are still talking about how Joe didn't think Alaska was the biggest state. Even after reading it in the book. "I don't think that's true." :) Such a funny kid!
Wow! What a cute family, all gathered around the Christmas tree. And a lovely tree it is! Looks like the kids had a great time and did a good job (with one exception). Joe was just being practical "I'll just hurry and hang these up so everyone will quit bugging me." Thanks for sharing this with us. I sure do miss those kids! (And you, too, of course.)
