Thomas happenings

Well the last couple of weeks we've been having crazy weather. Lots of rain, hail and a couple of tornadoes. The tornadoes haven't been too close but we did have a tornado warning yesterday. There was one spotted at the reservoir right above Fort Collins heading towards town but it didn't make it all the way here luckily.

Dave and I have been working outside a lot lately. We have been taking down our back wood awning and redoing it. It is really crappy and it will be really nice to have a nice place to sit outside. It is just covered with a tarp but it will be much better when he's done.

I wanted to put a cover on the playground. Dave laughed when I told him I wanted to do it so I told him I was going to do it all by myself. Well, it's almost done now and it's going to be awesome. Last year we got a whole bunch of scrap wood from some guy for free off craigslist and that is what we are doing all these projects with. It's kind of hard rumaging through the piles to find a decent piece of wood but it is going to be really cool when we are done.

Dave also got the rock wall up on the playground. If the playground wasn't dangerous enough! We still have a couple more handles we can put up for support and that is good because I worry every time I see one of the kids up there.


The last is our new picnic table. You'd be surprised what you can get with an ad on craigslist, a sob story and a trip to Greeley. Well, we can get a cool picnic table. It needs to be refinished but the support beams are in really good condition so even if a few of the top pieces need to be replaced it shouldn't be to bad.



I'll post pictures once we get the top on the playground. It is going to be the coolest thing in the whole world.
